Pleasant Unity Pizza opened its doors on June 8th 1979 in the empty space of a former market. It was established by two couples who feared losing their jobs. They began their business as pick-up and delivery. Sales started off slowly but word of mouth spread quickly. As the business began to grow, Priscilla and Russell Shaffer II took over the business themselves. Soon after, Russell Shaffer III became part of the team. Russ, wanting to enlarge the business, opened a sit-down restaurant in October of 2001. On May 1, 2008, after 29 great years, Priscilla and Russell retired, handing full control over to their son.
While picking up your food, it is not uncommon to see us making our fresh dough and sauce, totaling around 800 pounds and 50 gallons each per week. We work side by side with many great people who care about making great pizza, all while having fun. You may pick from one of our specialty and gourmets pizzas or you can stick with our traditional red sauce pizza. Our crust isn’t too thick or too thin. It’s right in the middle to satisfy most. However, with special request you can ask for a little thinner or a little thicker. We also offer a large selection of strombolis, subs, pasta dinners, sides, and more.
Pleasant Unity Pizza and Restaurant is open seven days a week for dine-in, pick-up, and delivery. We open everyday at 11. Sunday through Thursday we are open until 9.
